AVI-8 4056 - Hawker Harrier II

Housing: This iconic model has a robust round housing made of marine stainless steel with a diameter of 44 millimetres. A mineral anti-reflective glass covers the case. It features a crown and two pushers in anodised aluminium with a knurled look to activate the watch's chronometer. On the back of the case, the engraving of an aircraft turbine gives a perfect finish to this model as a tribute to aviation.
Dial: The dial stands out for its clean lines and numerous details in reference to the instruments in the aircraft cockpit. All the hands of the dial are sword-shaped creating a harmony with the lines and the modern style of the watch. The textures are numerous with brushed metal raw textures. The seconds hand imitates the compass hand of an aeroplane. The upper half-disc-shaped dial is a 30-minute retrograde dial that allows a more general reading of the chronograph. Conversely, the small dial in the lower part shows the seconds in tens. This model includes the tachometer function in the inner ring of the dial which enables a speed of travel to be calculated in relation to a distance travelled. Finally, on the right-hand side of the dial, there is a hand indicating the days of the week located above the date window. The indexes and hands on the dial become luminous in low light conditions, allowing a better reading of the time.
Movement : The AV-4056 is equipped with a Miyota/Citizen Japanese quartz movement. This FS80 movement is a retrograde chronograph with date and day known for its reliability.
Strap: This chronograph has a bi-material strap with genuine leather covered with fabric. A pin buckle clasp completes this bracelet. This mix of materials and military look are inspired by the parachute straps used during the war.
Water-resistance: This AVI-8 watch has a water-resistance of 5 ATM, i.e. a resistance of 50 metres. This water-resistance corresponds to a resistance to perspiration, splashes, rain and partial immersion such as when swimming or taking a shower. However, we recommend that you avoid contact with water for optimal conservation of the materials.
