Emblematic model of the AVI-8 brand, the AV-4065 watches are part of the Hawker Harrier II collection. This collection takes its name from the famous Hawker Siddeley Harrier fighter plane which was used in the 1960s by many countries. This British aircraft distinguished itself thanks to its ability to take off and land vertically, which made it a real strategic asset during military reconnaissance and support.

Case : A 45 mm diameter and 15 mm thick stainless steel case gives a serious look to this exceptional watch. A central crown engraved with a cockade is surrounded by two knurled and anodised aluminium buttons in the shape of a firing push-piece which are used to start the chronometer and the dial counters. An anti-reflective mineral glass covers an authentic dial with multiple gears. The case back is engraved with the turbine of the Roll Royce Pegasus engine found in the Hawker Harrier II aircraft.

Dial: A skeleton dial making visible the multiple gears of the watch brings a unique style to this watch. No detail has been spared, the shapes are bevelled and the open dials make it possible to discover the many mechanisms of this chronograph. The tachymeter function surrounds the dial on its inner ring with several colours enabling the calculation of a moving speed in relation to a distance travelled. At 12 o'clock, the date dominates in a rectangular window above the famous AVI-8 logo. The right-hand dial displays precisely 1/20th of a second through a wheel that rotates as soon as the chronograph is triggered. The left dial shows the minutes elapsed by the chronograph, then the last half-dial at the bottom at 6 o'clock indicates the small seconds of the watch. Of the three main hands, only the two rectangular ones display the hours and minutes, while the small hand serves as a chronograph seconds hand. The hands and indexes are coated with luminous pigments allowing the dial to luminesce in low light conditions.

Movement: This timepiece is equipped with a Miyota/Citizen Japanese quartz movement. This 6S50 - Miyota movement is a retrograde chronograph with date known for its robustness and reliability. It will make your chronograph and all its functions more efficient.

Strap: The strap of this watch is made of genuine leather covered with black stitching giving an assertive look to this aviation-coded watch. A pin buckle engraved with the AVI-8 logo will carefully close your strap.

Water-resistance: This AVI-8 watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM, i.e. a resistance of 50 metres. This water-resistance corresponds to a resistance to perspiration, splashes, rain and partial immersion such as when swimming or taking a shower. However, we recommend that you avoid contact with water for optimal conservation of the materials.
